英语时态的学习还有一大难点在于英语以动词的变位，也就是英语动词本身需要根据时态做出不同的变化，而中文是不需要在词本身做出变化的。比如中文说“吃了”，就可以表示过去时，而英语则需要将动词eat改为ate，作不规则变化。
除此之外，英语动词的时态构成还需要助动词have和do的帮忙，更进一步还有情态动词的加入，使得时态可谓是难上加难。所以，还是秉着由简入繁的原则学习，这里先不谈那些过于复杂的知识点。
下面先来看看现在时间下各种时态的构成吧。
①一般现在时态（The present simple/Present progressive tense）
The present simple is used to make simple statements of fact, to talk about things that happen repeatedly, and to describe things that are always true.
陈述句的一般现在时由动词原形或动词的第三人称单数形式构成。如图所示：

注意以-sh，-ch，-o，-ss，-x，-z结尾的词的拼写变化，如go——goes，finish——finishes，watch——watches，cross——crosses，fix——fixes，buzz——buzzes等。
我们容易混淆的一个点就在于“现在”这个词。因为相比较于“一般”这种看着不太明确的词汇，我们很容易就先入为主，认为一般现在时讲的就是“现在”发生的事情，其实不是。
这个时态很简单，一般就用来表示两种“动作”：一种是经常发生的；另一种是不可更改的、大众认可的事实。至于还有一种“一般现在表将来”的情况，其实就是句子将频度副词省略了。比如：The bus leaves at 6am (every day).因为公交车每天都在一个时间点离站，所以基于习惯做出推测。
我们还要注意人称代词与be动词的搭配：
注意否定式的缩写可以是I'm not，但不能是I amn't，其他则是二者皆可，比如you're not或you aren't，he's not或he isn't都可以。
表示疑问时动词如果是be动词，只需将be动词提前；如果是实义动词时，需要助动词do，如图所示：
